Resilience (Schob) ISO 4662
Resilience is a measure of elasticity of rubber, and is important for certain applications. Damping elements must generally have a low resilience, while elastic materials must have high resilience. This is determined by dropping a hammer on to the rubber material from a specific height and measuring how far it bounces back up to its original height.
The test is carried out according to ISO standard 4662 unless otherwise desired.
