Adhesion to stiff materials (including metal, plastic) ISO 813

Products often involve rubber fixed to rigid materials, such as steel or plastic. The adhesion can be both chemical and physical, and the strength of the adhesion can be measured. Generally, an adhesion force is required that is higher than the strength of the rubber material, which means that the rubber should tear and leave a layer of rubber behind on the rigid material.

The test is carried out according to ISO standard 813 unless otherwise desired.
